Vision for the period of time (about 10-12 years)
EXPANSION and INFLUENCE
“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited”. Is. 54:2-3
“Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth…” Ps. 50:2
“Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the posterity whom the LORD has blessed”, Is. 61:9
“Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!” Is. 62:10
Three main spheres we are called to influence:
- inside the church (develop existing ministries of our church and also start new ones);
- among the churches (relations and cooperation with other local churches and unions in Minsk, in Belarus, in the world);
- social sphere (through the Prayer, Words and Deeds (PWD) we affect each sphere of life of our society).
Vision for the period of time (September 2018 – September 2019)
PRAYER. PREACHING GOOD NEWS. DISCIPLESHIP.
This is the crucial time for us as the church. And this is the crucial time for us as the people. There is the feeling in the spirit that we are on the threshold of great breakthrough to enter the new level. Yet enemy is not asleep, he tries to create pressure and counteraction. Therefore purposeful and strengthened prayers should become our priority. Prayers on different levels: in the secret room, in families, in home groups and teams, payer meetings, prayer walks and drives, different ministries (prayer and general ministries) — for our local church and for Belarus.
Luke 18:1; Col. 4:2-3, 12; 2nd Thess 3:1
Preaching Good News
We see that in the early Church testifying about Christ was natural and joyful part of the life of each believer. Testifying about Christ is an opportunity and privilege, not just an obligation to evangelize. Being led by the love to people, we will be able to sincerely minister to them, preach Good News about Christ both individually and by organizing various team projects. Preaching Good News on the foundation on God’s love to unsaved people should become natural part of life for each and every one of us.
Acts 1:8; 4:33; 5:42
Jesus chose only twelve disciples. Further on they were supposed to teach able and faithful brothers so that they could become pastors and ministers. And they were successful. History of the Church didn’t end when Apostles departed to be with the Lord. Ministers they prepared continued preparing new ministers. And now it is our turn. How many ministers among us are younger than 30? And how many are older than 50? 15-20-25 years ago most of us started ministry, and now we have to train new ministers, so that in 25 years there would be those who will minister to the new generation of born-again Christians.
